Ok, so it arrived yesterday, and I wiped it down, installed it, and re-strung to give it a go. First things first, HOLY COW this beauty is smooth and your fretwork is perfect. I can’t say enough good things about how good these frets feel to bend and slide across. It’s a huge improvement over an otherwise perfect guitar. All the dead spots I had from the nickel frets are completely gone, and I really appreciate your excellent craftsmanship with this replacement. A.H.

You really delivered! This instrument plays and feels fantastic with the new stainless frets– it came out even better than I had hoped. When I bought that old, battered canoe paddle I saw potential, and your knowledge and skills have brought that 35 year old hunk of maple to the level of playability that is pretty much on-par with some of my other $1-2k instruments. Outstanding. You’ll be getting some more business from me soon for sure. Thanks again. A.B.

Hey, Greg.  Quite simply, I bolted it on, strung it up, and tuned it…it is perfect.  I don’t know how you do it, but it is absolutely perfect, right out of the box…no fiddling with the bridge…nothing.  Perfection all the way up the neck.  And the polish and end finishing…amazing!  I kept the box I shipped it in.  I’ll be sending you my Axis neck sometime in the new year…nothing wrong with it, it would just be great to have SS on it as well.  Thanks again, Greg.  It’s so rare to be ‘delighted’ these days.  M.M.

Hey Greg! She just came in. I haven’t had a chance to plug her in, but the fretwork is AMAZING. This is great. The action is incredibly low for no buzzing. I’m sure she’ll sound great plugged-in too. Thank you so much. J.W.

Got to play the guitar first time last night. Frets are excellent, super silky. Was playing the second half of Free Bird and amazed how effortless the full step bends on fret #22 were. . . . Anyway, this is awesome work and I will be sending you a Korean PRS next. D.L.

I just wanted to tell you how happy I am with the work you did with my guitar, it’s easily my number 1 guitar now, it’s fantastic. I was curious of which strings you had put on it when it was finished? I’m really liking them. Thanks again, S.C.

I got the chance to play it for a few hours and… Wow! Nice, precise, excellent consistency from 0 to 24! . . . . I knew you could take it the rest of the way to where I wanted it– and you took it even further than I could have hoped. It plays beautifully, cleanly, up and down the whole neck, and should for some time to come thanks to the nice, new stainless steel frets! Thanks again for a stellar job. I have another great instrument in my arsenal. A.B.

Hello Greg, I received the guitar early this afternoon. UPS handled the box very well. It was not mistreated. Looks like it did when I dropped it off at your house. The work you do is amazing. I was worried about the fretboard binding causing extra trimming of the frets, more labor, more dollars. It looks and plays excellent. The action is just right for me. I forgot how good that guitar rings out. I am very pleased. Now I have two Taylors I’ll never wear out. Thanks for your work and hospitality. If you ever need a reference please use me. I would be happy to talk about your perfect work. R.S.

Hey Greg. Finally got this JEM finished and wanted to send you some shots. Neck plays beautifully and set-up perfect. Just a little adjustment for relief was all it needed. Great work on the frets. C.C.

I set-up the Tele last night and your work is phenomenal! My only Strats frets are not worn out yet but, I am considering just having you refret it too! Very nice work Greg, you are a true artist! D.F.

Hey Greg, Neck arrived yesterday and after couple hours playing it was clear that once again you have delivered as promised. Nice work! Now it feels just like my prized ’78 Tele. I’m sure most players would prefer the first edge dressing you did (as well as larger fret wire, flatter fingerboards, etc.), so I hope to be forgiven for being so old-school. Thank you ten thousand times, Greg. APERIO GUITAR ROCKS! C.J.

I received the neck yesterday, and I gotta say, you did a wonderful job on this refret! I can honestly say it’s the best fret job I’ve ever had on any of my instruments. M.M.

Greg, Got the guitar today. Extremely happy with the work. Initially the action was a touch high for my taste, made a slight adjustment and everything is great. The fretwork is impeccable. You will be hearing from me again as I have a couple more guitars that I would like to switch to SS, neither have frets as low as this one had, but I would like to go with stainless on both. Most likely the next one will be after the new year, but it will happen. I noticed on your Facebook page that you announced the need to raise the priced by $10 or $15 … I feel that you could probably raise it $50 with no worries.  Again, the quality of the work is great and I will recommend you if anyone comes to me with questions. Regards, D.G.

Greg, I wouldn’t just say it, this is a real treat for me to have this guitar back in such fine shape. The action is exactly where I’m accustomed to. I’m thrilled to know it’ll be well set-up for a long time now with these new frets. I will recommend your service to anyone that listens. A.H.

Hi Greg,  Well I’ve managed to play 4 gigs with the strat since I got it back on Monday… yes I do like very much. Getting used to the bigger frets was not that hard at all, slight adjustment but very good feel. Very easy to bend. Repair of the poly chip-out on neck… excellent. Thank you so much for smoothing that out. Awesome work. Would have to say I am very very satisfied with the guitar. This will continue to be my main workhorse guitar and best of all I won’t have to fight the frets anymore.  Very satisfied customer, R.B.

Dude, you did it! The 335 is great. I’ve owned this guitar for 15 years and it was never right-  it is now. Thanks so much. I am very happy. Plays beautifully, intonation is perfect; and strangely, it doesn’t feel all that different so there is no learning curve. It’s so well behaved now, and sounds great. Thanks again, Greg.  R.D.

After I got my strat neck back from you, I always knew I was going to have you do this as well, the strat plays so good, I couldn’t be more happy with that, and I know later on, I`ll be sending the other Ibanez neck to you as well. I don’t know if I sent you any business, but I tell everyone I know you are THE place to go to get a fret job. Also after having stainless frets, I don’t know why anyone would ever want anything else. Thank you for the pics, I know its in good hands. K.T.

It just got here today. You did an incredible job on the frets, you can’t even tell the neck was refretted. (Well besides for the fact that the frets now look new and shiny.) The ends of each fret are all smooth and snag free and the top of the frets are smooth and level. Thank you for such a great job, a quick turnaround and a great customer experience!! Being that I am so close, I’ll have to take a trip down there and thank you personally one of these days. Have a great day my friend!!! D.G.

Hi Greg. I got back from my nearly 3 week trip last night, too late and too depleted to check out the guitar. I’ve spent the last half hour with it today, and it is just splendid! Your workmanship is incredible. The fit, and particularly the end finishing are just great, and that’s got to take a lot more effort with this material. The setup is spot on, and the playability is just fantastic. You live up to, and surpass, your messaging. M.F.

Greg, Pleased to say Hofner arrived intact and well, despite traversing a snow storm. Took her to practice tonight and she plays like new. Better than new. Folks were very impressed with the refret/refresh. Somehow seems to make the pickups sing out even brighter than before. I found myself dialing back the tone pot, which I never did before. Pretty amazing for an inexpensive 70’s guitar! Thanks for the love and skill you put into her. V.W.

Hello, it came yesterday, it looks amazing, thank you very much. I swear I think it plays better than the day I bought it. I couldn’t be more happy with it. When I wear out my other Ibanez, I will get in touch with you, again, thank you so much. K.T.

Greg, Quick note to let you know everything arrived today and looks and plays great. Very happy and you’ll be getting all my future fret jobs and will refer friends too. Thanks again! B.R.

Unbelievable work here, sir. Just floored with the difference in playability. It’s rock solid tuning-wise, plays like an absolute dream, and I am just so excited to have it back. I tried to find fault, but kind of knew I wouldn’t. It’s like a brand new guitar in the best way. Thank you, thank you, thank YOU for your transparency and your stellar work. It’s completely changed how I play/view this 335-S. Feels like it has new life and so many more years in it. I love it. I will only ever use you for re-frets, and I will do my best to spread the good word if anyone I know needs the same work done.  S.V.

Oh man Greg…. “Buttery”.  That’s the word I would use to describe how awesome this plays now. Just plain buttery. The neck came out awesome! It feels like a Nash or Anderson neck! Real attention to detail.  And as I understand it, you have to be a blacksmith of sorts to work with stainless cause it’s a PITA to work with.  Nice job here!  G.J.

My guitar arrived safely today, and you’ve done it again! Excellent fretwork and it plays amazing. I’m also surprised at how great the fret board feels now. Silky smooth. Thanks for another job well done. G.B.

I put on a set of regular D’Addario 10’s and have been playing it for a few days. The fretwork is flawless from top to bottom, and the choice of frets was perfect for me. I love the tone and I am able to slide my fingers up and down the neck without getting snagged along the way.
Thanks for your great skill, attention to detail, and recommendation on the wire size. S.G.

Hey Greg, just wanted to say thanks!  I got the neck back on and the guitar set up, and it plays beautifully.  The fretwork is immaculate!  Thank you. A.H.

Hi Greg. Just want to say today I got a good look at your work. Very nice. Craftsmanship is a dying art. It’s always a pleasure to meet someone who still keeps the practice.  A.C.

Hey Greg!  I got the guitar in the mail yesterday.  I broke a string setting up the whammy bar, so I’ve only gotten to really play it for a little bit, but I’m really happy with how it turned out! I was worried I’d have to get used to the bigger frets, but they felt super natural to play on right away, and the action is great. Barre chords low on the neck don’t feel like a struggle anymore, and the string height feels the same as before even though there’s no buzzing anywhere.  It seems like you aligned the neck better with the body, too- before I feel like it was tilted to the other side of the weirdly wide neck pocket, and now the strings look like they’re in a better position relative to the fretboard markers and stuff.  Anyway, I can’t wait until I get more strings in the mail so I can plug it in and really spend some time playing it.  Thanks again for everything!  J. M.

Got the guitar back today.  Appreciate the quick shipping! This is an exceptional fret job. I have two of these identical guitars and had one of them fretted with 6100 stainless first by someone else.  I prefer the work you did.  I love the fret ends!  Smooth as silk and not overly sloped which I hate.  Bends are smooth and plays much better than before.  Great setup too!  No idea how you got the action that low but I really appreciate it! Really, really nice work!  If I have more necks to be fretted I’ll send them your way for sure. R.F.

Hi Greg-I got the necks late yesterday- they are awesome. The strat is night and day from what it was before. I actually enjoy playing it now! The action is perfect. PERFECT.  I need to have you tell me what the measurements are so I can duplicate them in the future. I always go by feel but perhaps I should be more “scientific” about it.  Fantastic work as always. Thank you again for doing such a great job.  V.M.
