Send Us Your Neck. Free Shipping Boxes!
Do you need a stainless steel refret on your electric, acoustic or bass? We do the best and most flawless stainless refrets around, guaranteed, at the best price. Ship us your bolt-on neck or whole guitar and we will refret it and ship it back. You pay for the shipping both ways. If you have your own box we suggest UPS for the most reliable and responsive shipping. If not, the US Postal Service has triangular tube boxes that are the perfect size for a bolt-on electric neck and they are FREE. They can be ordered from the USPS website. Here’s the link to USPS. These tube boxes can only be used with USPS shipping.
Some local post offices may also have them on hand. It should cost you between $12 – $25 each way with UPS or USPS to ship your neck, depending on where you are and if you want added insurance or signature required when we return it. We recommend UPS or USPS. In our experience, FedEx has not been consistently reliable, their prices are much higher than UPS or USPS, and their customer service is lacking. But please choose the shipper you are most comfortable with.
PLEASE NOTE: USPS tube boxes are 2-sided: red for Priority Mail and blue for Priority Mail Express. Express is almost 4x the cost of regular Priority, so we recommend using the RED side – Priority – to save you money.
When you are ready to ship your neck or guitar go to our
page and fill out the form.
When shipping a neck please include the machine heads and leave them on the headstock, and also the nut so we can set your neck up in our jig. Wrap your neck well in layers of bubble wrap or a lot of crumpled newspaper or brown craft paper. It should float in the center of the tube with lots of cushioning so it does not move around or rattle. Make sure there is enough cushioning at both ends of the neck too. Mark the box as Fragile on all sides.
When we receive your neck we’ll create an open invoice and send you a dropbox link to pictures of your neck or guitar within 24 hours. We won’t bill you or ask for payment until the work is complete. When your refret is done, we send you pictures, an attached invoice, and a link to our payment page. When we receive your payment, we’ll ship your neck/guitar back to you.
Give us a call (678-475-9688) or send us an email through our contact page before shipping so we can expect your neck or guitar and discuss your refret needs (fret wire size, etc.)
