Wow, what a guitar! I owned one of these back in the day, cherry red, and lost it in a foolish Marshall amp trade and then sold the head before the boomers turned them into small mountains of gold. I wish I still had either one. This is another of those guitars that is an honor to work on. The frets were shot but the guitar was solid. I did pull the harness to check it out because we didn’t want any trouble out of it. This is owned by a good customer, a jazz player who purchased it just to play. We re-fretted it with 6105 stainless. And he loves it. That’s what it is all about. Enjoy!

Lots of divots. It was wise to fill these. The guitar is a player and it would be very uncomfortable playing otherwise.

It was a treat working on this one. Refrets come and go. They are all special in their own way. Each one is unique but these old classic guitars have something special. History and soul!
