1996 Paul Reed Smith Refret

Whit is a very good and dedicated guitarist. He brought his PRS in for a refret. This is one of the best sounding guitars I’ve heard in a while. It is very warm but can crank when you dig in on it. He bought this guitar new and has played out the frets that came on it so it was time to breathe a little life back into the fret board and put in some new stainless steel frets. This was one of my toughest refrets in terms of the time involved. Some Rosewood is very brittle just because of its nature and this was one of those. It had massive chip out during the fret removal but with a lot of patience it was refilled with Rosewood dust and came out beautiful. It is very satisfying to me to complete a fine guitar like this.
